Municipal Corporation Commissioner inspects Coimbatore West Central Zone

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap, who personally inspected the ongoing road construction and construction of school buildings in various wards under the Western and Central zones of Coimbatore Corporation, directed that the projects be completed expeditiously and qualitatively and put to the use of the people.



Coimbatore: Prathap, the Commissioner of the Coimbatore Corporation, inspected the ongoing works in the corporation's western and central zones.



Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected the process of separating and collecting biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste sludge in Mullai Nagar, Marudhamalai Road, Ward 41, Coimbatore Corporation West Zone.

Later, he instructed the sanitation workers to create awareness among the public in the area to classify the garbage into biodegradable and nonbiodegradable waste.



Under Mission LIFE Programme, Corporation administration, Indian Oil Corporation and AIM NGO jointly planted 600 saplings at Pullukadu area under ward no. 84 of Coimbatore Corporation Central Zone by cleaning the site where garbage had accumulated for a long time.



Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati, City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan and Corporation Commissioner Prathap were present on the occasion.



Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected the construction of additional laboratories, smart classrooms and girls' hostel buildings at a cost of Rs.110.50 lakh under namakku naame scheme at model school on Subramanyam Road, R S Puram under ward number 72 of Coimbatore Corporation West Zone.

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected the ongoing construction of the Town Health Centre at Savithri Road, Kovilmedu, ward no. 42 of Coimbatore Corporation West Zone at an estimated cost of Rs.28 lakh.



Construction of storm water drains and culverts for a distance of 1680 metres at an estimated cost of Rs.5.20 crore under IUDM scheme at Jeeva Nagar, Kavundampalayam under Ward No.34, Coimbatore Corporation West Zone. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prathap personally visited the site where the 850-metre-long tar road is to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.1.8 crore and directed the engineer to complete the work expeditiously.
