Heavy rains lash Vadavalli in Coimbatore - Uproots trees

Due to heavy rains in Vadavalli, more than 15 trees were uprooted, two electricity poles were damaged and electricity was cut off in various areas, including Abirami Nagar, causing inconvenience to the public.

Heavy rains accompanied by gusty winds lashed Vadavalli area of Coimbatore last night. More than 15 trees were uprooted and uprooted due to the rains. Two electricity poles were damaged after a tree fell on them in Abhirami Nagar area.

Trees also fell on SPK Nagar, Arun Nagar, MGR Nagar, Raghavendra Nagar and Maharani Avenue. Due to strong winds, the tin placed in front of a private theatre on Marudhamalai Road collapsed. Due to this, the people in and around Vadavalli suffered for a long time without electricity.

Similarly, the heavens were left with no way to go. Since this morning, the corporation employees have been cutting down and removing the trees.
