Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, who inspected the storm water drains in the areas under Coimbatore North zone, she directed the officials concerned to immediately remove the vegetation from the storm water drain on a war footing and desilt them and put them to use.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inspected the ongoing works in the areas falling under the Northern Zone of coimbatore corporation.
She inspected the storm water drain in Nallampalayam area under ward no 18 of Coimbatore Corporation North Zone. She instructed the engineers to desilt on a war footing and put it to use immediately.
She also directed the concerned officials to remove the roadside encroachments in the area and to select a suitable site for the public toilet building and prepare a project estimate.
Following that, she personally inspected the Maniyakarampalayam area, which is located in Ward 19 of the North Zone, and directed the concerned engineers to remove the vegetation from the canal, desilt it, and drain the sewage water smoothly.
Later, she personally inspected a storm water drain in Ganapathy, Ward 30 of the North Zone. She directed the concerned officer to immediately remove the plants and vines from the storm water drains and desilt them and put them to use.
She inspected the storm water drain in Nallampalayam area under ward no 18 of Coimbatore Corporation North Zone. She instructed the engineers to desilt on a war footing and put it to use immediately.
