Coimbatore: Bjp workers staged a protest in Pollachi against the murder of a BJP scheduled caste functionary in Chennai.

Shankar, the state in-charge of bharatiya janata party's scheduled caste wing, was hacked to death by unidentified assailants in Chennai on June 27. The BJP has been protesting against the incident across Tamil Nadu.

As part of this, the Scheduled Caste wing of the BJP in Coimbatore district held a protest near pollachi central bus stand.

Led by Coimbatore South district president Vasanthrajan, the protest was held to condemn the incidents of killings in Tamil Nadu. Slogans were also raised demanding strict action against those who killed BJP functionaries.

District president Vasantharajan later spoke to reporters and said,

In Tamil Nadu, there has been an increase in the targeting and violent murders of BJP Scheduled Caste functionaries. People from the Scheduled Castes are flocking to the BJP in significant numbers.

Parties are now debating social justice. Their mask has been shattered, and they are joining the BJP as a party dedicated to improving the lives of Scheduled Castes. As a result, administrators from the scheduled caste are being targeted and attacked. If such incidents continue to happen, there will be massive protests.
