Rethinking Concessions for Scheduled Castes: Kadeshwara Subramanian's Urgent Appeal

If the Scheduled Castes who have converted to Christianity in Tamil Nadu are also given concessions, the Scheduled Castes will lose their rights. Kadeshwara Subramaniam, state president of The Hindu Munnani in Dharapuram, said the government should reconsider the matter.

Tirupur: The issue arose due to a clash between the BJP and the Hindu Makkal Katchi at Dharapuram in Tirupur district.

Hindu Munnani state president Kadeshwara Subramaniam came to Dharapuram to inquire into the matter and explain that there was no connection between the Hindu Munnani and the issue.

Later, speaking to reporters at the Hindu Munnani office in Dharapuram, Kadeshwara Subramaniam said:

This is an issue between the Hindu Makkal Katchi and the BJP. The Hindu Makkal Katchi and the BJP have nothing to do with politics. It is the party of a single person named Arjun Sampath. At the same time, a private TV channel broadcasted incorrect information about a schism between the BJP and Hindu Munnani activists.

Simultaneously, other newspapers and television channels provided accurate information. As a result, the private television channel that broadcast the incorrect information should deny and apologise.

The government has announced that converted Christians will be granted the same benefits as Scheduled Castes. The Hindu Munnani is claiming that the Scheduled Castes are deprived of their due benefits.

Thirumavalavan's party, which can fight for the alliance's Scheduled Castes, should condemn this. How will converts come with scheduled castes? This is where untouchability comes in.

There is a reservation that will raise those who have converted to islam. The privileges that come to the Scheduled Castes are being taken away. Our demand is that it should be stopped.

The conversion is going on in various places. This is what the government itself says. The Speaker and the Chief Minister say we are all the people of one country. This is being divided between us Tamils and those belonging to the Dravida Kazhagam.

The vast majority of Tamil Nadu residents work in other countries. What will they do if they disturb the Tamils there like them? What kind of assistance will they receive? Even when we come to Tirupur in the same way, we are providing you security by uniting the workers of Tamil Nadu for the workers of the northern states. You can go anywhere you want.

The Hindu Munnani can be seen in every state. Tamils should be given security as well. Members of the Dravida Kazhagam are attempting to foment a caste riot as well as a state riot.

In the parliamentary elections, we would support those who work for Hindus and embrace our demand.

The AIADMK and the BJP have issued joint statements. No problem for Edappadi Palanisamy and BJP state president Annamalai. The collaboration will continue.
