15-Year-Old Girl in Coimbatore Sexually Harassed: Uncle Jailed Under POCSO Act

A 15-year-old girl studying in Class 10 in Coimbatore was allegedly sexually harassed. Thudiyalur police arrested the girl's uncle under the POCSO Act and put him in jail.


Coimbatore: A 15-year-old girl from Coimbatore is studying in Class 10. It seems that she usually went to his uncle's house to study during the holidays.

From 2018 to 2022, the girl was sexually harassed by her uncle several times over the last five years.

The girl, who was afraid to reveal the matter, told her mother about it a few days ago. Based on a complaint lodged by the mother, the Thudiyalur all-women police registered a case against the girl's uncle under the POCSO Act. He was arrested and put in jail.
