For the first time, a group of 40 members have gone on a spiritual pilgrimage Dharapuram on a to the Kasi Tamil Sangam. Saradas S. BJP district vice-president Selva Palanisamy and others were part of the delegation led by Shanmugavel.
Tirupur:Dharapuram Kasi Tamil Sangam committee president Saradas S. A 40-member team led by Shanmugavel went on a spiritual pilgrimage for the first time under the Kasi Tamil Sangam.
On June 15, the team took a flight from Coimbatore to Rishikesh in the Himalayas. They then took a sacred bath in the Ganga. They later took part in the Kasi Tamil Sangam Yatra, where they enjoyed spiritual talks.
Thereafter carried holy Ganga water as a theertham for the consecration of the Dharapuram Mariamman temple. They travelled to the Himalayas, Rishikesh, Haridwar, and New Delhi for their spiritual journey.

Dharapuram East Union Secretary K Selvakumar, TMC Block President Kalidas, Kongu Munnetra Kazhagam City Secretary Chinnasamy, Rotary Foundation President Muthuramalingam, Malli Restaurant Managing Director Arjunan and 40 others participated in the spiritual journey.
