Govt. Employees Union holds protest in Udumalpet to scrap new pension scheme

In Udumalpet, a protest was held by the Government Employees' Union demanding the scrapping of the new pension scheme and implementation of the old pension scheme.


Tirupur: A protest was held in Udumalpet in Tirupur district on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government Employees Union.



The protesters demanded that the Government of Tamil Nadu should immediately pay 3 percent dearness allowance including surrender of the dearness allowance due with effect from 1-1-2023.



They also demanded for the new pension scheme to be scrapped and the old pension scheme to be implemented.

Among several other demands, members of the Union also demanded that orders 115, 139, and 152 which destroy permanent posts should be repealed with immediate effect and vacant posts in Government departments should be filled up immediately.
