Unexpected attack: Labourer arrested after assaulting Mother-in-law in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore

In a family dispute, the youth attacked two persons, including his mother-in-law, with a weapon at kinathukadavu, Coimbatore and fled. The kinathukadavu police located Arumugam, laborer who fled the area was hiding in Pollachi, has been taken into custody.



Coimbatore: Nallusamy and his wife Kamakshi are Dindigul residents from Palani Keeranoor. Nallusamy died owing to illness 13 years ago. Jothimani (27), their daughter, was born. Jothimani, their daughter, is married to Palani local Arumugam (27).

Kamakshi had been working as a coconut peeler at a rented house owned by Easwaran in the Kondampatti area of Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore for a few months.

It appears that a dispute broke out between Jothimani and her husband Arumugam who was in Palani two days ago. Arumugam became upset and attacked Jothimani. Jothimani was enraged by this and went to her mother's house in Kinathukadavu.

Arumugam came to his mother-in-law's house in Kinathukadavu yesterday to pick up Jothimani. At the time, Jothimani's mother, Kamakshi, inquired about the assault on her daughter. An argument broke out between the two at the time. Enraged by this, Arumugam took out the knife he was hiding and stabbed Kamakshi.

Arumugam stabbed the owner of the house, Easwaran, who tried to stop him and fled from the spot. The injured were rescued by the locals and sent to Pollachi government hospital for treatment. They are being treated intensively there.

After knowing about the event, the Kinathukadavu police arrived in person and conducted an inquiry. The Kinathukadavu police arrested Arumugam, who was hiding close to Pollachi, and placed him under custody. He is being interrogated at the police station.Due to a family dispute, two people were fatally stabbed, including the mother-in-law, causing commotion in the area.
