Mayor Kalpana inaugurates construction of Rs 19.50 lakh bridge in Coimbatore!

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, dedicated the bridge in Coimbatore West zone at a cost of Rs 19.50 lakh, directed the officials to visit various locations and remove plants and vines from storm water drains and restore them.

From MP constituency development fund on 5th street, Anbu Nagar, Idaiyarpalayam under ward no.35 of Coimbatore Corporation West Zone. The bhoomi pooja for the construction work of the bridge, which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 19.50 lakh, was held. Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar performed the bhoomi pooja and inaugurated the work.



Similarly, She inspected the Anna Market area of Ward No 45 Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore West Zone, directed the concerned engineer to remove the accumulated plants and vines in the storm water drain and reconstruct the damaged storm water drain.



She inspected the toilet for the use of passengers at ward no 45 Saibaba Colony, Mettupalayam Road and New Bus Stand under Coimbatore West zone, to see if the toilet for the use of passengers is hygienic. She instructed the concerned health inspector to maintain the toilet hygienically.



Similarly, She directed the concerned engineer to reconstruct the damaged storm water drain to remove the plants and vines in the storm water drain by inspecting Saibaba Colony, Ammasaikonar Road under ward number 45 of west zone.

The events were attended by West Zone President Deivanai Thamizh Marai, Councillors Sampath and Ramamoorthy, Assistant Commissioner Sekar, Assistant Executive Engineer Hemalatha, Assistant Engineer Jeevaraj, and Corporation officials.
