Hero of Kinathukadavu: Donating land to construct sewage canal in Kinathukadavu

Ranjani, who donated land for the building of a sewer line for public use in Vadapudur panchayat near Kinathukadavu, was honored with a shawl at a ceremony presided over by the Panchayat Council President.


Coimbatore: A ceremony was organised to honour a citizen who contributed land for the construction of a sewage canal in the Vadapudur panchayat near Kinathukadavu.

It was decided to build a 700-metre sewerage canal from Anna Nagar to Gandhinagar in the Kinathukadavu panchayat union's Vadapudur panchayat. In this occasion, the wife of Subbarao, a local, donated their property to the Ranjani panchayat administration for the construction of this drainage canal.

Meanwhile, a concrete drain has been built on land donated by Ranjani at a cost of Rs 45 lakhs as part of a solid waste management project.



In this case, a three-day ceremony was held in the Manikandapuram area of Vadapudur panchayat to honor the person who donated land for the construction of a sewage canal, a tractor

purchased for Rs 6 lakhs to collect garbage, a ceremony dedicated to the public and the Tamil New Year's festival.



Kinathukadavu Panchayat Union Commissioner Radhakrishnan, Block Development Officer Sikandar Basha, and others attended the function, which was presided over by Panchayat President

Abhinaya Ashok Kumar and honored the person who donated the land as well as the village residents who assisted in this.



A shawl was also presented to the panchayat president on behalf of the people of the village for completing the sewage canal, which had been requested by the people for many years. The

occasion was attended by Panchayat Vice-President Kannammal, Ashok Kumar, ward members, Panchayat Secretary Bharathinagar Sekar, and others.
