MNM cadres protest against domestic LPG price hike and refusal to ban online rummy in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Cadres of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) staged a protest condemning the central government regarding the price hike of domestic LPG and refusing the Ban on Online Rummy games.

While addressing the media, the state president said, "Constant hike of Domestic LPG price is threatening the lives of many on the property line. Many families struggle for their survival in this expenditure hike, food being a necessity, and many of them struggle to fulfil this fundamental need. We rigorously condemn the central government to consider this issue and implement actions to normalize the cost."

In addition to this, the cadres condemned the state governor's rejection to ban the online rummy game. The state president also alleged that many deaths have occurred due to online rummy abandoning many families. "This online gambling has caused the lives of many innocent families. Many youngsters are becoming bait to this gambling and end up dead with unmanageable debt. We demand that the state governor approve a total ban on these games."

While commenting on the upcoming election alliance, Thangavelu noted that the Party President is currently travelling abroad and after his return to the state, the party will desk discussions on the upcoming elections.
