'DMK government is determined to ban online rummy games', Minister Mano Thangaraj

These programs are aimed to promote the youth, to get rid of superstitious beliefs and to develop their skills, and knowledge for the betterment of their personality. These programs also aim to identify unique skills and develop those into productive outcomes.


Coimbatore: After presiding over an event at Bharathiar University, Minister Mano Thangaraj addressed the media.

He capsulated the purpose of the event stating that the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan aids the tribal youth in the Naxal-affected states. In this regard, they were brought to Tamil Nadu to share and experience diversity and to learn the likenesses among various cultures. It is to promote the youth community to get rid of superstitious beliefs and to develop their skills, and knowledge for the betterment of their personality. These programs also aim to identify unique skills and develop those into productive outcomes.



Chief minister of Tamil Nadu is specific to include every individual irrespective of any community, which leads to social harmony.

Talking further he mentioned, "We as a party in rule proceed with a tagline 'Technology to common man'. Here every citizen in the state should get the benefit of technology. The IT Department is working towards initiation and implementation of various special programs through which every person in Tamilnadu can make progress in their life and their livelihood."

He added that efforts are being made to provide all the services on a common platform, many young people are being encouraged to find innovations, and many efforts are being made to solve all the problems of farmers and tribals, including education and medicine through technology under the direction of the Chief Minister.

In response to the question regarding the disapproval of the proposal of a ban against online rummy circles by the state governor, the minister said, "A lot of families are affected through this online game. The DMK government passed a unanimous law of goodwill to save families and it's the duty of the Governor to approve it. The DMK government is determined to bring a ban on rummy games and will once again take efforts to pass the bill. If they have denied approval, they should have the courage to justify it as well."
