Coimbatore man arrested for morphing young women’s picture and abusing her

A 26-year-old woman, who lives in the area under Thudiyalur police station limits, had her face morphed and depicted in an obscene manner. The cyber crime police arrested Arun Kumar, who had sent a WhatsApp message to the woman's family members.


Coimbatore: The cyber crime police have arrested a young man who morphed a girl's photo and sent it on WhatsApp.

A 26-year-old woman, who lives in the area under Thudiyalur police station limits in Coimbatore district, saw her face was morphed and pornographic content was shared with her face. The woman's family members were sent by a youth through WhatsApp.

The woman lodged a complaint with the cyber police in this regard. Based on the complaint, on the orders of Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan, a case was registered at cyber crime police station and an investigation was conducted.

Arun Kumar (27), a native of Selvapuram in Coimbatore, was the one who sent the woman on social media. The police arrested him and sent him to judicial custody.

The Superintendent of Police of Coimbatore district has warned that strict action will be taken against those involved in such cyber crimes.
