Police arrest youth for robbing money at knife point near Ukkadam

Kumaresan, who worked as a server in a hotel, was arrested by the police and remanded in custody.



Coimbatore: Police arrested Server Kumaresan, who robbed a youth Faizal at knifepoint and extorted money from him near Ukkadam.

Faisal hails from Ukkadam GM Nagar and he is an employee in a fruit shop. When he returned home after finishing his work he was waylaid near Easwaran Koil Street and robbed.

Faisal reportedly said that he was a labourer and that he did not have any money and snatched away the money from Faisal's pocket at knife-point.

Faizal lodged a complaint at the Ukkadam police station.

Based on this, the police registered a case and arrested the person involved in the robbery.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the man was Kumaresan, a native of Pudukottai. Kumaresan, who worked as a server in a hotel, was arrested by the police and remanded in custody.
