Mother takes shelter in police station after son harasses her for property near Tiruppur

Rajeshwari, a native of Tiruppur Mannarai, took shelter at the Tiruppur North police station seeking protection after her son Karthi allegedly beat her up and tortured her to transfer the property right for the house.

Coimbatore: Rajeshwari belongs to the Mannarai area of Tiruppur. Since her husband had left her 20 years ago, she stayed with her son Karthi and earned a living by doing wage work.

Meanwhile, for the past two months, Rajeshwari's son Karthi has been pressurising her to hand over the house to him where she is staying in the Mannarai area. As Rajeshwari did not agree to this, her son and some relatives allegedly attacked her.

Depressed over this, Rajeshwari took shelter at the Tiruppur North police station seeking protection. In a shocking incident, the son, along with relatives, had harassed the mother for property.
