Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced that copra will be procured through 10 regulated markets from April to September under the price support scheme for the benefit of coconut farmers in the district.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced that the procurement of copra in the district will be held from April this year.
In a statement issued by the Collector in this regard, he said:
In order to benefit the coconut farmers, the Government have accorded permission to procure crushed copra at Rs.108.60 per kg and ball copra at Rs.117.50 per kg through regulated markets under the price support scheme.
Accordingly, the procurement of copra under price support scheme for the year 2023 will be carried out from 01.04.2023 to 30.09.2023 through 10 regulated outlets in Coimbatore district.
