Coimbatore Corporation to receive mementoes for 24/7 drinking water project in Nagpur

At a seminar on 24-hour drinking water supply scheme organised by the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, memento was presented in appreciation of the modern practices of the Coimbatore City Drinking Water Project. The project is live only in some areas of Coimbatore and the rest of the areas still reel under improper water supply once in several days or weeks.


Coimbatore: A memento was presented to the Coimbatore Corporation in appreciation of the drinking water scheme at a seminar organised by the Government of India in Nagpur.

A seminar on 24-hour drinking water schemes for 10 states of north India was organised by the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The seminar was held on February 21 and 22. A memento was presented in appreciation of several modern processes related to the 24-hour drinking water supply scheme of the Coimbatore Corporation.

The memento was presented to Corporation Municipal Commissioner Prathap by Project Management Advisory Committee Chairman Gopalakrishnan, Suez Project Manager Sangram Patnaik and Geologist Satyanam. The memento was presented during a meeting with consumer organisations chaired by Corporation Commissioner Prathap at the main office meeting hall of Coimbatore corporation.

While the Coimbatore corporation receiving accolades for futuristic implementation of projects is a thing to be proud of, the project is live only in some areas of Coimbatore and the rest of the areas still reel under improper water supply once in several days or week and the public in many areas like Peelamedu, Singanallur and many other areas are much affected.
