District Collector Kranthi Kumar inaugurates district-level athletic competitions for Chief Minister’s cup

More than 16,000 participants in the district have registered on the website for the competitions held which is being held in five categories.


Coimbatore:District Collector Kranthikumar Pati inaugurated the district-level athletics for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Trophy on Thursday, which has been organized at the Nehru Stadium.

Various sports and games for the Chief Minister's Trophy have been held across the district since 14 February.



More than 16,000 participants in the district have registered on the website for the competitions held in five categories, namely, school, college, government employees, a general category and differently-abled.

Accordingly, athletic competitions will be held at Nehru Indoor Stadium today, which the District Collector presided over.



As many as 10 types of competitions will be conducted under four categories namely School, College, Government Servants and General Category.



As many as 2321 people participated in the competition which was held separately for men and women.
