Coimbatore: The family members of the policemen submitted a petition to the city police commissioner's office demanding the cleanup of bushes and undergrowth at the Uppilipalayam police quarters due to which the movement of the poisonous reptiles has increased
In this scenario, the families of the cops, who claim to be living in fear with their children due to the presence of poisonous reptiles including snakes, said most of the policemen had vacated the apartment due to the movement of snakes.
Around 40 families, including Assistant commissioners, inspectors and sub-inspectors, are living in these quarters and they live in constant fear due to overgrown bushes and the snakes hiding in them.
