TNSTC bus driver slapped by CISF officer for not giving way to army vehicle

Tense situation prevailed on the Hosur-Bengaluru highway near Kurubarapalli after a CISF officer slapped a TNSTC bus driver who did not give way to an army vehicle carrying military consignment.



Krishnagiri: In a shocking incident, a CISF officer slapped a TNSTC bus driver near Hosur in Krishnagiri district for not giving way to vehicles carrying military types of equipment and hardware.

An army vehicle carrying military consignment from Vellore was on its way to Bengaluru with the help of CISF personnel.

While the vehicle was on the Hosur-Bengaluru highway, a government bus in front of it near Kuruparapalli did not give way to the army vehicle.

Angered at this, SI Pratap slapped the driver of the government bus for not giving way to an army vehicle. The incident created a stir there.

Meanwhile, a tense situation prevailed as the public gheraoed the police vehicle in support of the government bus driver.



Reacting to this, one of the CISF personnel threatened the public with a gun.

According to police sources, the driver did not know that it was an army vehicle that trailed his bus. Also, SI Pratap was said to have apologized to the driver.

When asked about the threat at gunpoint, the CISF said the reaction was made as a precautionary measure as the most important military hardware was in the army vehicle.
