President Draupadi Murmu to participate in ‘Shivratri celebrations’ at Isha Yoga Center on February 18, over 5000 police men to be deployed for security duty

About 5,000 police personnel will be deployed for security duty during the President's visit, which happens to be the first visit of the first citizen to the city of Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: President of India Draupadi Murmu will participate in the Shivratri celebrations to be organized by the Isha Yoga Centre at Velliangiri on February 18.

As a preparatory measure, the works are underway to set up a helipad at the Isha Yoga Center.

The President will arrive by a charted IAF plane from Delhi on February 18 by 3 pm, and proceed to Government Guest House at Race Course before proceeding to Yoga Center via Vadavalli and Thondamuthur by road.

IG Sudhakar personally inspected the route, which President Draupadi Murmu’s motorcade would traverse.

A Police consultative meeting has been held in which Commissioner Balakrishnan and SP Badrinarayanan discussed the security measures for the Presidential visit to the city.
