PMK petitions against Dimexon with Coimbatore Dist. Collector over death of diamond factory worker

In the city's Narasimhanaickenpalayam area, a diamond factory worker died due to lack of a first-aid kid at the factory. The PMK submitted a petition to the Coimbatore District Collector demanding action against the factory, Dimexon.

Coimbatore: A diamond factory 'Dimexon' which employs around 1800 people and functions at Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore manufactures diamonds and exports them to foreign countries.

On June 11 last year, Gokulraj (43), a worker at the factory complained of pain in his shoulder and chest. Gokulraj died due to lack of proper first-aid since there was no first-aid kit at the factory. Shocked by his death, it was reported that his uncle and another relative also died.
