Three arrested for brutally assaulting a north Indian man during a clash over placing goods on the verandah of his house in Sulur.
Coimbatore: A youth from the northern state is undergoing treatment in a life-threatening condition after he was attacked in Ranganathapuram area.
Munna Sharma hails from Bihar in Ranganathapuram area of Kannambalayam near Sulur in Coimbatore district.
He worked in a building workshop owned by one Shankar in the same locality and lived in a house owned by Shankar. Another person, Kalidas, who works at shankar workshop near the same house, also lived in the house.
In this situation, there have been frequent disputes between Munna Sharma and Kalidas over placing goods on the verandah of the house there.
At that time, they again kept in mind the old problem and got into an argument with Munna.
Later, Kalidas and two of his friends attacked the former in a murderous manner, injuring Munna sustained serious head and forehead injuries. Following this, neighbours rescued Munna and sent him to a hospital.
A complaint was later lodged with the Sulur police station in connection with the incident.
Based on the complaint, the police launched an investigation. While Kalidas and his associates were absconding, the police arrested his friends Gokul Raghavendra from Pudukottai district and Kaleeswaran from Chennai and produced the trio in court and sent them to jail.
