Request for the installation of a roof in SV Puram near Udumalpet

The villagers of the surrounding villages have requested the authorities to construct a roof at S.V. Puram near Udumalpet in Tirupur district.

Tirupur: Villagers have requested the district administration to construct a new roof at the site where the roof was removed in S.V. Puram.

There was a roof at SV Puram on the Udumalai-Kolumam road in Tirupur district. It was used by more than 30,000 people from Kanakkampalayam and Kannamanaickenur village panchayats adjoining the city. In this case, the roof of the bus stop was damaged and was in a dangerous condition.

Subsequently, the roof of the bus stop was removed. But the new roof has not been erected and has been lying in abeyance for many years. As a result, school children and labourers who are waiting for the bus are forced to wait in the sun and rain.

While people are waiting on the road and due to high-speed vehicles, the bus stop will be parked haphazardly due to lack of identification. Accidents are also occurring due to buses. Therefore, there is a demand that the authorities should take steps to set up a new bus stop roof at SV Puram.
