One arrested for sale of Kerala state lottery near Idayarpalayam

The Thudiyalur police arrested a man involved in the sale of Kerala state lottery banned by the Tamil Nadu government in Idayarpalayam.


Coimbatore: The police received a tip-off that some persons were selling Kerala state lottery tickets banned by the Tamil Nadu government in the area under Thudiyalur police station limits

Thudiyalur Police Sub-Inspector Guruchandra Vadiyar was on patrol duty in Idayarpalayam area, when he intercepted a man who was moving in a suspicious manner near the Mahalaxmi Bakery.

On questioning him, the police found out that he was one Shanmugam from the same locality engaged in the sale of kerala raffles.

Police interrogated and seized lottery ticketsand Rs 1,200 in cash from him. He was arrested and remanded in custody.
