On the occasion of the 106th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MGR being observed today, AIADMK cadres took out a procession and garlanded the statue.
Coimbatore: The 106th birth anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MGR is being celebrated today and the AIADMK and other political outfits are paying homage to the late leader.
The AIADMK cadres in the district garlanded MGR statue at Anna Statue area on Avinashi Road and paid homage.
Led by AIADMK Coimbatore District Secretary (Urban) and MLA Amman Arjunan, more than 100 AIADMK cadres, including Singanallur MLA Jayaram, former Coimbatore Corporation Mayor S M Velusamy took out a procession and garlanded the late leader’s statue.
Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of MGR at the Idhaya Deivam Maaligai by the cadres.
