Tirupur: Even as school and college students, and staff in Tirupur rang in Pongal festival with festive fervour, doctors in the premises of the Government Medical College in Tirupur celebrated Pongal for the first time.
Dr. Murugesan, Dean, Government Medical College Hospital presided over the festive function.
Doctors, medical staff, office staff and others participated, even as cultural programs, Kolam competitions, painting competitions and musical chair events being held for the students on the occasion of Pongal festival at the Industrial Training Institute on Dharapuram Road.
Anbazhagan, Principal of the Industrial Training Institute also joined the festivities.
