THAMBRAAS to hold two-day conference in the city on January 7-8

District Chapter of the Thamizhnadu Brahmin Association (THAMBRAAS) has announced that it will organize the 7th Edition of its District Conference on January 7 and 8 in the city.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Chapter of the Thamizhnadu Brahmin Association (THAMBRAAS) has announced that it will organize the 7th Edition of its District Conference on January 7 and 8 in the city.

The conference which is set to take place in the city after 20 years will be held at the Hindustan College campus in Nava India.

About 10,000 members from the Brahmin fraternity including 1500 youngsters and 2500 women are expected to participate in the conference.

N.S.Ramesh, District President, THAMBRAAS Coimbatore and Sriram, Coordinator of the Conference, while addressing the press said “the focus of the conference would be to identify the Brahmins living in the district, asses their real situation and find out how many of them are financially unstable, especially economically poor women and the youth who are striving for education and extend them all help.

“We would brief them about the benefits that Government has announced for them, and eventually assist them to get it” Sriram said

Sriram further said that “they have planned to handpick 100+ successful Coimbatore entrepreneurs from the Brahmin community, and share their story to the 1000+ youngsters who will take part at the event, in order to motivate them to become entrepreneurs”

“There are plans to find out the needs of the youth of the community through this conference and take steps in the future to fulfil these requirements” he added.

It was conveyed that notable speakers like Bharathi Basker and Rangaraj Pande will speak at this conference along with Political figures Arjun Sampath, and Prof.Rama Srinivasan. Actors Delhi Ganesh and Bosskey will also be addressing the gathering.

Padma Shri Awardee Dr R.V. Ramani from Coimbatore is also a speaker at the event.
