'Trial run being carried out for the fourth drinking water scheme to augment drinking water requirements' - Tirupur Mayor Dinesh Kumar

Steps are being expedited to provide drinking water to the people of Tirupur North assembly constituency through the fourth water supply scheme ahead of the Pongal festival.


Tirupur: The trial run of the fourth drinking water project is already being carried out, which would address the drinking water needs of the people of Tirupur Corporation said Tirupur Corporation Mayor Dinesh Kumar.



Announcing this at the Corporation council meeting the Mayor said “Steps are being taken to provide drinking water to the people of Tirupur North assembly constituency through the fourth water supply scheme ahead of Pongal festival. Already steps are being taken to ensure availability of drinking water throughout Tirupur Corporation in a phased manner”, he said.

He also said that the renovation of Corporation roads would be expedited and finished before March.

Following this, the councillors brought to the notice of the council the problems persisting in their respective ward areas. The Mayor of the Corporation said that all the areas will continue to be extended basic amenities without any discrimination.



Corporation Deputy Mayor, Municipal Commissioner, Zonal Assistant Commissioners, and Councillors attended the meeting.
