Kuniyamuthur police seize 83 kg of gutka from house in city's Karumbukkadai area

On searching the house of Kumaresan (48), a resident of Royal Nagar in Saramedu, it was found that 83 kg of banned gutka items were stored inside the house. Kuniyamuthur police arrested Kumaresan and seized the gutka.


Coimbatore: On receiving a tip-off that gutka was being sold at a house in Coimbatore's Karumbukadai area, a police team led by the Kuniyamuthur Sub-inspector Murugan inspected the Karumbukkadai and Saramedu areas.

On searching the house of Kumaresan (48), a resident of Royal Nagar in Saramedu, banned gutka items were found in his house. Following this, the police seized 83 kg of gutka items from the spot. Kumaresan was arrested and produced in Court and sent to jail.
