In a letter addressed to V.K. Tripathi , Chairman, Railway Board, the MP had noted that "Pollachi Constituency is world renowned for its Tender Coconuts, Coconuts, and other allied products.
It has been a long - standing demand of my constituents to include Tender Coconuts and Coconuts in the list of approved items for Kisan Rail. The same has also been intimated to the GM and the DRMs of Southern Railways".
"The inclusion of these into the approved list of items for Kisan Rail will immensely benefit the farmers of my constituency and its surrounding areas" the MP noted in his letter.
