Tamil Nadu government neglected laying of roads in Coimbatore dt. alleges MLA Vanathi Srinivasan

Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan, who inaugurated the first-ever water ATM machine project in Coimbatore, alleged that the Tamil Nadu government is neglecting Coimbatore district.



Coimbatore: Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan inaugurated a free water ATM machine each at Ramanathapuram and Ukkadam areas, which come under Coimbatore South Assembly constituency at an estimated cost of Rs 17.17 lakh each.



The water ATM, which has been set up for the first time in Coimbatore district has been implemented from the MLA Constituency Development Fund of the legislator.



The residents of the area could use the water ATM as they have been provided with swipe electronic card.



The can get 20 litres of water per day.



Accordingly, this electronic cards have been issued to 1,000 families in the area.



Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the drinking water ATM, Vanathi Srinivasan said, the purified drinking water machine has been set up at the MLA's Constituency Development Fund to vend 20 litres of drinking water per day at any time, to alleviate the inconveniences faced by womenfolk.

In the current year, we are planning to set up this machine at five locations across the constituency. After Ramanathapuram, we will inaugurate the second water ATM at Ukkadam.

Vanathi also alleged that the roads in the Coimbatore district are in very bad condition. "That's why I have participated in the AIADMK protest yesterday against this. The Tamil Nadu government has betrayed the Coimbatore Corporation on the road issue" Vanathi Srinivasan said.

She also found fault for poor garbage disposal in the city. "While the roads are impassable , the garbage disposal mechanism is much to be desired." the MLA noted.



"The DMK minister, who won the local body elections by bribing voters thinks that the people of Coimbatore can be taken for a ride". she alleged.

While noting that she has been fulfilling my election promises one by one she said that the ruling party is neglecting their work.

"The Suez project is a 24-hour water supply scheme. At the same time, if they remove the common water pipelines, we will hold talks with the Corporation on this issue" Vanathi said.

While responding to a query whether Gayatri Raghuram has been treately badly the BJP, she said that office bearers should not go public but speak with the concerned persons in the party to solve problems.

To a question on the alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, she said the National Democratic Alliance is very much intact, and there are no changes as of today. Coimbatore BJP district president Balaji Uthamaramasamy and others were present on the occasion.
