Tipplers arrested over drunken brawl with employees at TASMAC bar in Coimbatore

A video of tipplers engaged in a scuffle at a TASMAC outlet in Coimbatore's Arivoli Nagar has gone viral on social media, following which the police arrested the duo and put them in jail.


Coimbatore: Two tipplers created a ruckus at a TASMAC outlet in Coimbatore's Arivoli Nagar area on Monday which led to a clash between them and the bar employees. Enraged, the duo broke the chairs and tables in the bar and also hurled empty bottles at the bar staff and attacked them.

The Kuniyamuthur police who reached the spot on receiving information about the brawl arrested the tipplers, Ajith and Dinesh Kumar. During the investigation, it was revealed that the brawl erupted over one of the tipplers putting his foot on the table.

The duo have also been booked under four sections, including causing hurt and issuing threats. The video of the drunken brawl at the TASMAC outlet has gone viral on social media.
