The 'Sky Lantern Festival' as it is known for Diwali day will showcase lanterns being lit and released upward into the sky. The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap urged the public to participate in the event by registering on 7904163689/9566383542 mobile numbers.
In recent times, Coimbatore Smart City Limited has been making a concerted effort to bring people closer to the natural assets in the city, like the lakes which have been restored to house migratory birds and engage people in the city.
