It is wrong to say that I went to Delhi to discuss about internal party issues - Edappadi Palanisamy in Coimbatore

I went to Delhi and met the Home Minister to put forward various demands, including that nothing is happening in Tamil Nadu during DMK rule.

Coimbatore: AIADMK interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday said he did not go to Delhi to discuss internal party issues but met the Home Minister to make a demand on some important projects for Tamil Nadu.

Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami addressed a press conference at the Coimbatore airport after returning from Delhi.

He said, “We met the Home Minister in Delhi and discussed some important issues. Godavari-Kaveri river link project should be implemented expeditiously. We demanded that the Cauvery project should also be implemented.

Moreover, drugs are freely available in all parts of Tamil Nadu. We demanded that this should be stopped.

The Dravidian model is of key leaders quitting the DMK one by one. "It is condemnable that A Raja has made derogatory remarks against Hinduism. Does the word that Raja referred to, apply to his party chief's family? I asked him if the same way his son-in-law performed the yajna in Tiruchendur would apply to him as well. His party leader has not yet responded.”

Responding to a question on the AIADMK's internal affairs, he said, "If you talk about it when there is a case in the court, it will be a hindrance to the case. You will know for yourself when the judgment comes.

"It is wrong to say that I went to Delhi and talked about internal issues. I went to Delhi to raise various demands about the fact that nothing was happening during the Vidhya DMK rule.

This government should be vigilant to prevent the spread of fever in Tamil Nadu. The health department should examine properly and take appropriate action to prevent the spread of fever.
