Following the recent letter of bomb threat to the Coimbatore International Airport, the airport officials have beefed up the security. Passengers and visitors are put through thorough screening procedures at the entrance of the airport. Baggages of both incoming and outgoing visitors are also minutely scrutinized through scanners.
As a matter of precaution, Additional Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been deployed at the airport.
