Coimbatore: The son of a former member of the municipal council, who was involved in a dispute at a ration shop in Pollachi was arrested and remanded at the Coimbatore Central Jail.
Coimbatore: The son of a former member of the municipal council, who was involved in a dispute at a ration shop in Pollachi was arrested and remanded at the Coimbatore Central Jail.

Krishnakumar is the son of Jeganathan, a former municipal councillor, of the 7th-ward Kottampatti in Pollachi municipality. It is reported that he had allegedly threatened Balakrishnan, staff at Kottampatti fair price shop and demanded money.
After Balakrishnan denied to give him cash, Krishnakumar engaged in a scuffle with him.

Following a complaint by Balakrishnan, Mahalingapuram police rushed to the spot and arrested Krishna Kumar.
While Krishnakumar was produced at the Magistrate's residence, he escaped from the spot. After a chase, the cops caught him and produced him before the judge, following which he was imprisoned in the Coimbatore central jail.
