An event was held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner of the Corporation, Sharmila in which Corporation officials took a pledge of allegiance on Anti-Child Labour Day.
Coimbatore: Corporation officials took a pledge of allegiance on Anti-Child Labour Day at an event held at Victoria Hall in the Corporation's Head Office premises under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner of the Corporation, Sharmila.
On Bharathiar Road in Coimbatore Corporation's North Zone Ward No. 19, Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar and the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Commissioner, M Prathap personally inspected and instructed the concerned engineers to prepare a project report for the construction of the roadside barrier wall.
Similarly, in the Nallampalayam area under Ward No. 19 of the Corporation's Northern Zone, Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar and the CCMC Commissioner M Prathap personally visited the spot and instructed officials to remove the undergrowth in the stormwater drain and ensure it is cleared for use immediately.
They were accompanied by the Northern Regional Committee Chairman, V Kathirvel, the 20th Ward Councillor Mariyaraj, the Northern Regional Assistant Commissioner Mohan Sundari, the Assistant Chief Engineer Senthil Baskar, the Assistant Urban Planning Officer (PO) Vimala, the Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan and other Corporation officials.
