Coimbatore Liquor Shops to be Shut Down on May 1 by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati

May 1 is observed as Labour Day across the world. Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati has ordered the closure of all types of liquor shops in the district on Monday on the occasion of Labour Day.


Coimbatore: Worldwide, May 1 is commemorated as Labour Day. Tamil Nadu liquor stores have been advised to close on government holidays. The Coimbatore District Collector has issued a statement in this regard.

The following was stated in the statement:

All Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation liquor shops and liquor outlets in the Coimbatore district, as well as all recreational leisure clubs,Bars, bars in star hotels, and bars in Tamil Nadu hotels Furthermore, all stores selling imported foreign spirits have been ordered to remain closed on Monday, May 1, 2023.

As may day is observed, action will be taken as per the provisions of law against those who sell liquor in violation of norms.
