Traffic change on Brookfield Road, Coimbatore: City police

Motorists coming from Brookefields Mall cannot turn right from Devangapet signal and instead use Syrian church road.


Coimbatore: The city police have taken steps to avoid traffic congestion on the Brookfield Road in Coimbatore.

On The Brookfield Road, Coimbatore, in order to avoid traffic congestion and to reduce the time people wait for the signal, as a pilot project of the Coimbatore City Police Traffic Division, the Divisional Engineer along with road safety, Manuneethi and other officials of that division, traffic has been diverted from 4.00 pm on Sunday.

Vehicles coming out of Brookfield mall are prohibited from taking the right from Devangapet signal. Those wanting to go from Brookfield Road to Poo-Market, R.S.Puram, Chinthamani, Gandhipuram, Mettupalayam, should miss the Devangapet signal, and go straight without turning right and take a right turn on the Syrian Church Road.

Likewise, motorists going straight to the Avinashi Road via the old flyover, from Brookfield Road can continue to travel without waiting for the Devangapet signal.

Motorists coming from the old flyover on Devangapettai Road and Avinashi Road can take their journey as usual. No change of traffic has been made for them. In this traffic change, the general public is requested to extend their cooperation.
