'In 2022-23, the target is to provide loan assistance to the tune of Rs. 20 crore through TAHDCO:' Coimbatore District Collector

In the financial year 2022-23, a target of Rs. 20.85 crore loans with a subsidy of Rs. 6.26 crore has been fixed for 984 persons under the Land Acquisition and Land Development Scheme through TAHDCO.


Coimbatore: The District Collector has set a target of providing loan assistance to the tune of Rs. 20 crore through TAHDCO for the financial year 2022-23.

Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran announced in a statement that in the financial year 2022-23, a target of Rs. 20.85 crore with a subsidy of Rs. 6.26 crore has been fixed for 984 individuals under the Land Acquisition and Land Development Scheme through TAHDCO.

The Collector said, "In the last financial year, Rs. 2.23 crores loans with a subsidy of Rs 66.96 lakh were sanctioned to 38 persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under the Entrepreneurship Development Scheme through TAHDCO in Coimbatore district. Rs. 1.87 crore loan assistance with a subsidy of Rs. 56.36 lakh to 34 persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under the Self-employment Scheme for Youth was also sanctioned.

Financial assistance of Rs. 2.50 crore with a grant of Rs.75 lakhs was also sanctioned to 360 Magalir Suya Uthavi kuzhu belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under the Economic Credit Assistance Scheme for Magalir Suya Uthavi kuzhu. A total of 432 persons have been given loans."

The District Collector also said, "In addition, 18 persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be provided loan assistance of Rs. 1.65 crore with a subsidy of Rs. 49.50 lakh under the Land Allotment and Development Scheme through TAHDCO during the financial year 2022-23. 156 persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be given loan assistance of Rs. 5.20 crore with a subsidy of Rs. 2.16 crore under the Entrepreneurship Development Programme.

Rs. 7.20 crore loan assistance has also been given to 114 persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under the Self-employment Scheme for Youth. 4.80 crore assistance has also been sanctioned to 696 Magalir Suya Uthavi kuzhu belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under the Economic Credit Assistance Scheme for Magalir Suya Uthavi kuzhu.

A total of 984 persons have been given loans of Rs. 20.85 crore with a subsidy of Rs 6.26 crore.
