Central Zone IG Balakrishnan has been appointed as the interim City Commissioner of Police for Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: 44 IPS officers have been offered transfers across Tamil Nadu. The Coimbatore City Commissioner of Police Pradeep Kumar IPS has been transferred for Central Government service. Thus, Central Zone IG Balakrishnan has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police, IPS, Coimbatore.
Similarly, in the Coimbatore Municipal North, Deputy Commissioner Jayachandran has been transferred to Chennai as the Economic Crimes Division SP. Coimbatore Municipal Transport Deputy Commissioner Senthilkumar has been transferred as the Deputy Commissioner to head Chennai.
Selvaraj, who was the Deputy Commissioner of the Coimbatore Municipal Council, has been transferred as the Principal of the Chennai Police Training School. Similarly, Coimbatore South Municipal Deputy Commissioner Uma has been transferred as the Chennai Railway SP.
Orders for this have been sent to the departmental authorities. It is noteworthy that in Coimbatore alone, 5 IPS officers, including the Commissioner of Police, have been transferred.
