Camps organized in all five zonal offices to regularize plots in Coimbatore Corporation

The number of plots that received orders for regularization, pending applications, eligible and ineligible plots is 464. The Coimbatore Corporation earns an income of Rs.11,54,150 through this exercise.


Coimbatore: A camp to regularize unapproved plots in Coimbatore was conducted on Monday at the five zonal offices of the Coimbatore Corporation.

As per G.O.Ms.No.78, Housing and Urban Development (UD 4(3)) Department, Dated, 04.05.2017 and G.O.Ms.No.172, Housing and Urban Development (UD (3)) Department dated 13.10.2017, a camp was conducted in all five zonal offices in Coimbatore Corporation. The camp began at 10.00 am concluded at 5.00 on Monday. The camp was conducted to regularise the unapproved plots in the areas under Coimbatore Corporation limits.

Out of the 239 applications received in the North Zone, 23 plots are eligible and 215 are not eligible. One application has been issued to the regularizing orders. 215 applications are pending. Out of the 174 applications received in the East Zone, 40 are eligible, 134 are ineligible and 40 applications are pending. Out of the 126 applications received in the West Zone, 124 are eligible, 2 are not eligible and 3 applications have been issued orders to be regularizes. 121 applications are pending.

Out of the 100 applications received in the South Zone, 48 are eligible, 52 are ineligible and 48 applications are pending. Out of the 47 applications received in the Central Zone, 36 are eligible 11 are not eligible 36 applications are pending.

Out of the total 686 applications received in all the five zones of Coimbatore Corporation, 464 are eligible, 222 are ineligible and 460 applications are pending. The Corporation Commissioner and special officer, Raja Gopal Sunkara stated that the total amount received in the regularisation of the plot is Rs.11,54,150.
