Details on lockdown relaxation in districts
Coimbatore: The lockdown with some relaxations will continue to allow activities that are already permitted in all districts.Covid -19 is still prevalent is districts of Tamil Nadu including Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai.
Therefore, in order to curb the spread of the disease in these districts, at the same time with the aim of meeting the essential needs of the public, the following essential activities in the above 11 districts are being allowed with restrictions from the 7th with the relaxations already allowed.
Separate grocery stores selling vegetables, meat and fish will be allowed to operate from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pedestrian stalls selling fruit and vegetables are allowed to operate from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meat shops will be allowed to operate for wholesale only. All government offices will be allowed to operate by 30 percent of employees.
Only 50 per cent operations at registrar's offices will be allowed to issue tokens and make registrations. Match factories will be allowed to operate with 50 percent employees following standard guidelines. In addition to the 11 districts mentioned above, the following activities will be allowed in addition in districts where cases have reduced.

Services including home maintenance in private security service companies and office homes and apartments will be allowed. Self-employed personnel such as electrical workers, computer and machinery repairs and carpenters will be allowed to work from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Electronics and sales outlets will be allowed to operate from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two-wheeler repair shops only operate from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shops selling auto parts are allowed to operate from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shops selling educational books and stationery are allowed to operate from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two-wheeler distribution shops are only allowed for auto repair work. Rental vehicles Taxis and Autos Passengers will be allowed to travel with e-registration.
General announcements
Travel to tourist areas like Nilgiris, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Yelagiri for urgent reasons will be allowed by the concerned District Collector. Export companies in Tirupur, Salem, Namakkal, Tiruchirappalli and Madurai districts will be allowed to work with standardized guidelines with 10 per cent staff for export-related work and samples only if the companies that manufacture and deliver inputs to export companies have export orders.
The scheme of selling fruits and vegetables to the public through mobile vehicles introduced by the Government of Tamil Nadu will continue to be implemented as it has been well received by the public.
CM MK Stalin in the press release said,"I urge the public to walk to the shops closest to their homes and buy goods and avoid going in a two-wheeler or four-wheeler."
