Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian has warned that tea shops, restaurants, hotels and other businesses which violate Covid-19 guidelines like social distancing will be sealed for a week.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian has warned that tea shops, restaurants, hotels and other businesses which violate Covid-19 guidelines like social distancing will be sealed for a week.
He issued a press release in which he said " Various measures are being taken to control the spread of Covid-19 in the areas of Coimbatore. People who have been infected and are isolated in their homes should not come out. Their homes will be locked if they come out violating the rules. The essential items they need will be provided by the corporation.
If there are more than 3 Covid-19 victims on the same street, the entire street will be blocked and monitored. Complete ban for weekly markets will be issued if they don't follow social distancing in the areas which is affected.
Weekly markets, restaurants and tea stalls in areas where there will be closed for a week without notice if seen violating Covid-19 regulations like social distancing, wearing of face masks, over crowding etc.
We request the full cooperation of the public to fight against Covid-19." He said.
