Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu government has launched an online portal to find which hospitals have bed facilities for the treatment of coronavirus infected persons.
The second wave of coronavirus is intense and many are being treated in hospitals. In some areas, the public is alarmed by reports that there is no place to stay for inpatient treatment in hospitals. Therefore, the Department of Public Welfare and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu has arranged to find out where and how many bed facilities are vacant in private hospitals across the state through this website.
Go to https://stopcorona.tn.gov.in and on its homepage, in the Private Hospital Bed Status section, there are details about the Coronavirus bed availability in hospitals. District wise, total bed details of 456 hospitals, beds reserved for infected persons, empty beds, beds with oxygen facility, beds without oxygen facility, beds in ICU, ventilators are given.
Contact numbers of most hospitals are also given. People can identify which hospitals in their area are available for coronavirus treatment and go to hospitals that have beds available and access treatment.
