TN Govt allows to reopen gyms from August 10; people aged above 50 not permitted

Chennai: Gymnasiums which have been shut since March have been allowed to open from August 5, with certain restrictions, the Tamil Nadu Government announced on Wednesday.

Chennai: Gymnasiums which have been shut since March have been allowed to open from August 5, with certain restrictions, the Tamil Nadu Government announced on Wednesday.

The Tamil Nadu government in its order on August 5 has informed of allowing standalone gyms to reopen from August 10. It added that only people who are aged 50 and below would be permitted to enter gyms.

The state government said that the standard operating procedure for the operation of gyms will be detailed in the coming days. The state's order comes after a week after the MHA issued guidelines for Unlock 3, effective from August 1.
