The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Madurai Railway Division has announced change in timings of the Palakkad - Tiruchendur passenger train service that runs through Pollachi, Palani, Madurai and Nellai.
Coimbatore: The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Madurai Railway Division has announced change in timings of the Palakkad - Tiruchendur passenger train service that runs through Pollachi, Palani, Madurai and Nellai.
Due to ongoing maintenance work at Thalaiyuthu railway stretch in Tirunelveli, the temporary change in timing of Palakkad-Tiruchendur passenger train has been announced till March 10.
Accordingly, the Palakkad - Tiruchendur Passenger Train (56769) will depart from Palakkad at 4:10 AM on March 3, 5, 6, 7 and 10 and will not pass through Kovilpatti and Tirunelveli Railway stations. And, on March 4 and 8, the train will not pass through Madurai and Tirunelveli.
Similarly, the Tiruchendur-Palakkad passenger (56770) train which leaves the Tiiruchendur station at 11:40 AM will be canceled between Tirunelveli - Kovilpatti on March 3, 5, 6, 7 and 10.
Service will also be cancelled between Tirunelveli and Madurai on March 4 and 8. And, again on March 4 and 8, the train will leave Madurai at 6:45 PM instead of 4:05 PM.
Both, Train No,: 56769, 56770 will be fully operational on March 9, the release said.
