Coimbatore: More than 3,000 students participated in the mega educational loan disbursement ceremony held at Karpagam University in Coimbatore.
On the occasion of kalaignar centenary celebrations, a grand educational loan disbursement ceremony was held at Karpagam University in Echanari on Friday.
More than 3,000 students from Thondamuthur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi and Sulur areas of Pollachi parliamentary constituency participated in the event.
The applications of all the students were recorded on the website and handed over to the bank authorities. It was informed that all the registered students would soon be provided with financial assistance.
Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar, Karpagam Education Board Chairman Vasanthakumar, Former Vice-Chancellor of Agricultural University Ramasamy, Coimbatore South District DMK Secretary Thalapathy Murugesan, Coimbatore North District DMK Secretary Thondamuthur Ravi, Bank officials, college officials, students and parents were present on the occasion.
